Our trip was a rousing success. On almost all counts. We discovered that Little Man's tolerance for the car/car seat is a paltry 1.5 hours. On the way home he even made us stop -- not to nurse -- just because he wanted to see Mama that badly (I was driving).
We are still friends, even better ones in fact, and as far as I can tell, no one got annoyed with one another (except the usual husband/wife annoyances, lol).
#7 and I beat the boys at Trivial Pursuit (an amazing come from behind victory!) on Saturday night, and had to forfeit on Sunday only due to exhaustion. (The boys will call this a win. We...won't. Heh.)
We pretty much lazed around the whole time, only making it out once on Sunday with everyone, because with two babies and barely overlapping naptimes? It's hard to get out of the house. We did make it out of the house each day to take CrackerDog Sasha out on a walk (her cohort CrackerDog Stan is too geriatric, poor guy) in the brisk weather. We even suited up Little Man for the occasions:
Sunday was the BigGuy's First Birthday (NOT the Little Man's as some of you thought), and we had a nice little mellow party for him. The boys played great together, as usual (which is unusual for their age, but hey, they're special babies!), and it is great to see them side by side as big boys instead of side by side in the NICU. Even if they are acting like total Crackers...
I took a serious blogging break this week due to NaBloPoMo -- it took a lot out of me! And I actually got my hair cut! Woot! I'll be back to a regular posting schedule next week, and I hope to have up Little Man's 11 month update soon.
Hope you and yours are well and have a great weekend!
Lots of love,
Tha VDog

Oh, those blue eyes & the blue coats.
Yummy!
Man he's cute.
And re: your twitterism - the theory that I subscribe to is that the hands work as the baby's safety mechanism, if the hand can get the food to the mouth, it's likely safe to eat. So if he can pincer grasp the blueberry and get it in his own mouth, I'd be inclined to roll with it. If he's not ... eh... I'd be inclined to wait, or puree or something.
Good to hear from you! Glad the trip went well.
I've been wondering about you.
Hooray! Glad to see the trip write-up, and those photos are SO adorable and funny! Sis liked 'em, too. ;D
XOXO
I'm gonna eat him up, V!
I really wanna see the haircut. :D
I'm so glad you had fun. I did as well. You're the best cook EVER! Beating the boys was definitely a highlight..what a come back, we really pulled some stuff out of our butts didn't we? I really got to know you guys better and even though i didn't think it was possible, i like you guys even more. I love that our preemies get along so well and I see more good times to come. I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to consumate our win ;) Maybe next time....tee hee
Vdog for Vendetta -
I just wrote about road tripping today!
Sammy has a much higher tolerance for road trips...maybe it is hereditary! :)

I'm glad you're back V.
I swear that kid is (almost) as cute as Onion. (I have to say that, 'cuz I'm his mom and all.)
